Scripture Reading: Hebrews 12:1-2
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”
Reflection:
Life as a Christian is often compared to a race—not a sprint, but a marathon requiring endurance. The “cloud of witnesses” reminds us of those who’ve gone before, encouraging us to stay focused on Jesus. What hinders you from running your race well? It might be a habit, a distraction, or a fear. Today, identify one thing you can “throw off” to run with greater focus. Fix your eyes on Jesus, and trust Him to give you the strength to endure.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for being the pioneer and perfecter of my faith. Help me to cast aside distractions and sin, and to run my race with endurance. Keep my eyes fixed on You, and give me strength to persevere. Amen.
