Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
Reflection:
Life often feels like a race against time. We make plans, set goals, and grow impatient when things don’t unfold as quickly as we’d like. Yet, Ecclesiastes reminds us that God has a purpose and a season for every moment in our lives. Trusting God’s timing means surrendering our need for control and believing that He is working all things for our good (Romans 8:28). When we wait on Him, we find peace, knowing His plans are perfect, even when they don’t align with our schedules. Consider the story of Abraham and Sarah, who waited years for the promised child, Isaac. Their story teaches us that God’s delays are not denials but opportunities to grow in faith.
Application:
Today, reflect on an area of your life where you’re struggling to wait on God. Write it down and pray, asking for understanding how to be patient and trust in His timing. Take one small step of obedience today, trusting that God is at work, even if you can’t see it yet.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me trust Your perfect timing. Give me patience to wait on You and faith to believe Your plans are good. Guide my steps and fill me with peace as I rest in Your promises. Amen.
