Scripture Reading: Philippians 2:3-4
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”
Reflection:
Jesus exemplified the ultimate act of humility by washing His disciples’ feet, a task reserved for the lowest servants. In Philippians, Paul urges us to adopt this same mindset—considering others’ needs above our own. Serving with humility isn’t about seeking recognition or reward; it’s about reflecting Christ’s heart through selfless acts of love. Whether it’s listening to a friend, helping a neighbor, or volunteering your time, every small act of service honors God and builds His kingdom.
Application:
Today, look for one opportunity to serve someone without expecting anything in return. It could be a kind word, a helping hand, or a moment of your time. Ask God to show you where your humility can shine His light.
Prayer:
Lord, teach me to serve others with a humble heart, just as Jesus did. Help me to put others’ needs before my own and to reflect Your love in all I do. Amen.
