Answers to questions and other wisdom

The Authenticity of The Bible.
The Authenticity of The Bible.

The evidence for the authentic nature of the Bible comes from many sources, including those not part of the Christian world. Counterpoints Acknowledged: Critics argue some biblical accounts lack external corroboration (e.g., Exodus), and apparent contradictions or later scribal additions (e.g., Mark 16:9–20) raise questions. Scholars like Bruce and Metzger counter that absence of evidence isn’t evidence of absence, and textual criticism resolves most issues.

Saved or Not Saved
Saved or Not Saved

Many are confused about when we are “saved”. To the unchurched, that means when do we receive the Holy Spirit? When is the Holy Spirit received? At Salvation. When did the early church receive the Holy Spirit in the Bible?—At salvation—and in John 20:22—and in Acts chapter 2—and in Acts chapter 4This could mislead you to thinking that the Holy Spirit comes and goes. What is being described here is no contradiction, because at salvation you receive Him, and the rest of your life is the release of Him. When the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you, He comes to dwell […]

Why is Jesus more Reliable than Other Prophets or Religions?
Why is Jesus more Reliable than Other Prophets or Religions?

We assert that Jesus is the most credible of all the religions because He rose from the dead. Why does that make Him credible over other religions’ prophets credibility? No matter who you are, you must make your decision about which religion is more credible. For example, if you are impressed by how Islam has spread by the sword vs. how faith in Christ has spread with the “towel”.When followers of Christ have killed people in His name, that’s a violent contradiction of Christ. But when followers of Muhammed have used the sword, they are not contradicting him. In the […]

Did Jesus Rise from the Grave?
Did Jesus Rise from the Grave?

If we already agree that the Bible is a historical document that is better proven than any other document in history, then we can proceed. Now, let’s show the evidents for the Resurrection. The first piece of evidence is the empty tomb-Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea took the body of Christ off the cross-The put it in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea. -Joseph was a well-known Supreme Court Judge of israel. He was a member of the 71 member Jewish Sanhedrin. -Three days after putting Jesus in the tomb, it was empty. Both the apostles and their enemies agreed […]

What is A Life Of Hope?

A Life Of Hope is a Christian outreach ministry dedicated to providing the Word of God through online teachings and community support for those not attending church.

Are You A Church?

We are the body of Christ. In those terms, we are ‘the Church’ spoken of in the scripture. We do not have a physical meeting space, and we are not currently a non-profit.We help people answer questions about becoming a Christian, what to do to become one, and what to do after. We do not agree with American Christian teachings that make Christians and leave them to their own devices. Instead, we focus on bringing people together, either here online or encouraging them to find like-minded churches.

Are You Part of Organized Religion?

Organized religion refers to a religion with a structured belief system, formal rituals, and typically a hierarchical leadership. Google defines that as Christianity or several other religions around the world.

We do not agree with structured religion in that there is a hierarchy between us and God. According to scripture, everyone has their own, independent, path they must walk to be with God. Despite the steps of acceptance (inviting Christ into our lives) and baptism (public display of faith to other Christians) we are merely a family of people moving along similar paths, learning how to improve our relationship with Christ according to our evolution of learning, and helping others know they can take their own paths as well.

We admit we have a manual to study and follow (the Bible), a way to improve our relationships (prayer), and a perspective of the world and how to live in it by being a servant to model our relationship in our lives.

What we do not have is any radical leanings that would make us judge others. Also, there are no formal rituals outside prayer to Christ (only) or that any people are given more authority above others in our ministry.

The Bible (the Word) is our guide. Understanding it is why we gather together. Knowing that we cannot do it alone is our mission. Humans were not born to be isolated.
